Location Alerts is built with a commitment to individual privacy. All sensitive data, including your location alert names, descriptions, and exact coordinates, remains exclusively on your device. The app does not collect, store, or share your personal information.

Location Data

The app uses your device’s location services for the sole purpose of triggering alerts when you arrive at or leave a specified geographic area. Your location is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers. The app does not track your movements or store a history of your continuous position.

Google Tasks Integration

If you choose to sync with Google Tasks, the app requests limited access to your task lists to provide specific features:

• Smart Suggestions: The app analyzes keywords in your tasks locally to suggest relevant location-based reminders.
• Location Reminders: The app allows you to associate specific locations with your existing Google Tasks.

The app does not access your emails, contacts, or any other data from your Google account. All synced task content is stored locally and is used only to facilitate these features.

Anonymous Analytics

To help improve performance and reliability, the app collects minimal, anonymous technical data via Firebase Analytics:

• Feature Usage: Anonymous statistics on which features are used (e.g., when an alert is created or a setting is changed).
• Technical Information: Basic device information such as device model and operating system version.
• Diagnostics: Crash reports to help identify and resolve technical issues.

This data is purely technical and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Data Storage and Security

App data is stored locally on your device using Android’s secure storage mechanisms. Since the app does not maintain a cloud database or user accounts, you have complete control over your data. Deleting the app will remove all locally stored information.

Third-Party Services

The app utilizes MapLibre for location selection and Firebase for anonymous technical analytics. These services may collect information as outlined in their respective privacy policies.

The app is provided "as is" without any warranties. The app is not responsible for any missed notifications, battery drain, or data loss. By using the app, you agree that you are responsible for maintaining your device and its settings to ensure proper functionality.
